Bike Racks

Bike racks are by far the easiest way to transport your bicycle when travelling by car or truck. There are a number of different designs ensuring that which ever type of vehicle you own, a rack can be easily fitted to it. Most of these racks are capable of carrying more than one bike as well.

One of today’s most popular bike racks is the truck mounted variety. These racks have an “L” shaped bracket that rests on the trunk of the car, and a series of straps that are used to secure it. Most truck mounted racks are capable of carrying 2-3 bikes.

If you own a truck, there are bike racks that are designed to be installed in the bed of the vehicle. In most cases they use a bar that extends across the bed of the truck and secures to either side. To mount the bicycle, the front wheel is taken off and the forks are attached to this bar.
