Road Bike
A road bike can not only be a great way to get around town, but can be an outstanding source of exercise as well. They are generally lightweight, which makes them easy to carry with you on a commuter train, and their multi-gear abilities make them a cinch to ride on any form of incline. They can also be easily set up for all body sizes and types.
A road bike can come in any number of configurations. Entry level bikes tend to be made from metal frames (usually aluminum) and feature fairly basic components. These features, while completely adequate, are less expensive, which makes the bikes themselves much more affordable.
A road bike can also come in professional racing configurations. These bikes utilize high-tech components and often have carbon-fiber frames, making them extremely lightweight. However, because of the high-tech nature of these bikes, they can be quite expensive.
